About us

Comeback Charity Shop, a project created by Progressive NGO, first opened in 2017.

The main goal of our Charity Shop project is to help our employees, predominantly ex-drug users who are in the process of rehabilitation. All profits are used to support their recovery.

The store depends entirely on publicly donated goods and financial aid.

This project therefore aims to help our employees overcome addiction and to assist them in turning their lives around by offering them a job and support in their recovery. We wish to create a safe place that will help to develop our employee´s work and life skills into the future. Having many years of experience working with ex-drug users, we know that this targeted work will be very helpful in their rehabilitation. Steady employment and stability, both financial and social, can assist in their recovery and the skills they learn as part of our team will enhance their lives into the future.
Comeback Charity Shop is an environmentally friendly organisation and we aim to recycle and reuse previously loved and underused items as they are donated to us.

Our Charity shop offers many interesting items including vintage treasures, goods both second-hand and new, all depending on donations at any given time. We offer fashion for men, women and children as well as books, household items and other items of general interest. Our prices are very competitive, you are sure to find a bargain or two. Our Charity Shop is also a community place; we organise art exhibitions, workshops and literary events on a regular basis.
